Applications for the above position are invited from Registered Medical Practitioners who hold an approved higher qualification in Medicine, enabling Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. This is a permanent full-time position within the CDHB reporting to the Clinical Director of the Department of Gastroenterology.

Duties include inpatient care, outpatient clinics, consultation service and participation in the on call roster. Specific training and competence in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (including ERCP and enteroscopy) is essential. The position also entails provision of clinical training and supervision to medical staff, students and other staff as required and partici[pation in Departmental research and audit activities.
