Applications are invited for a Specialist Physician to join the Medical Team at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. Wairau Hospital is a well-equipped regional hospital supported by high quality diagnostic services and provides a comprehensive medical service for the community of 40,000 plus people.

Nelson Marlborough District Health Board is engaged in a rebuild of the hospital in Blenheim. This exciting and challenging project will ensure a sustainable Hospital and Health Centre for the Marlborough region.

Marlborough, with its reputation as the "Gourmet Province" of New Zealand and home of the world renowned Sauvignon Blanc, offers a fantastic living environment with an sunny climate and easy access to the Marlborough Sounds with 1400km of coastline and very sheltered waters, Wither Hills and Richmond ranges and Ski Fields as well as many other outdoor recreational opportunities. Wellington is only 20 minutes by plane and one and a half hours drive will take you to the beautiful Tasman and Golden Bays surrounded by three National Parks.

The successful applicant will hold a specialist physician qualification that is registerable in New Zealand. The position is 0.8 FTE with full time commitment to on call; however the hours of work may be negotiated.
