Phase I – Development Of Role Specifications
- A complete Profile of the ideal candidate & the Position requirements will be documented in conjunction with the Department Head & Key Client contact.
- A Review & Discussion of the position description, team dynamics & available Department information, strategy for service & District Health Board will be completed.
- Briefing on client expectations for the ideal candidate (personal and professional)
- Briefing on budget, remuneration guidelines, relocation provided etc.
- Review key interfaces & identify client project team
- Ensure complete understanding of selection criteria required for the ideal candidate
Phase II – Market Research To Identify Prospective Sources
- Develop comprehensive Retained Search & Marketing Plan
- We focus on North America, UK & EU markets to develop a list of specialty groups, professional bodies & target organizations, so that potential candidates will have sufficiently comparable experience & qualifications to be effective from the start.
- Identify in the Search Plan & consult with Department Head the conference & advertising options available within countries of choice.
- Confirm marketing schedule & exhibition attendance.
- Compile marketing tools such as; equipment or department photos, brochures & role information, regional promotional material etc.
- Ongoing Search through completion of project
- Status reports
- Initial written report after two weeks
- Weekly phone call & monthly written report
Phase III – Identification, Evaluation & Interview of Potential Candidates
- Development of shortlist of candidates qualified for HPI personal interview
- Research and sourcing in Phase II
- Headhunting via our extensive contact and resume database
- Targeted advertising and mailings
- Medical conference attendance as exhibitor or delegate
- Discernment process, with candidate dossier to include:
- Resume
- Interview comments
- Completed checklist
- Reference reviews
- Client project team review of first tier candidates
Phase IV – Final Interview To Completion
- Continue search process, presenting additional qualified candidates, until both client and candidate are mutually attracted
- We will assist you in making final evaluations of the best one or two candidates, including the submission of 3 verbal reference reports completed by HPI.
- HPI Consultant performs verification of qualifications and a criminal record screening for the immigration process as required.
- Assistance with preparation of the remuneration package to ensure both parties needs are met and manage negotiations with the candidate as required.
- Obtain written commitment from candidate with agreed start date.
- HPI manage the full registration process with the candidate, working with the Medical Council, licensing bodies & Specialist College to ensure the process is as efficient & streamlined as possible.
- Once Registration is approved we will coordinate the Visa & Immigration process (Residency upfront if possible) and organise the complete relocation requirements.
- On the Candidates arrival into their new country we personally meet them at the airport and assist them with assimilation into the region. Liasing with the Client regarding housing, vehicle etc. Full assistance is provided on an ongoing basis to ensure that first impressions are good lasting impressions.
- Continued & ongoing contact is maintained with all our candidates during their contract period, by HPI to ensure both parties expectations are met.
